(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيز يَعْنِي الدَّرَاوَرْدِيَّ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يَخْرُجَ قَوْمٌ يَأْكُلُونَ بِأَلْسِنَتِهِمْ ، كَمَا يَأْكُلُ الْبَقَرُ بِأَلْسِنَتِهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Soon there will come a people who will eat by means of their tongues (eloquence), just as a cow eats from the earth with its tongue."
