(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا الطَّالَقَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا " ، وَهَكَذَا " , يَعْنِي : تِسْعًا وَعِشْرِينَ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “A month is sometimes like this, like this, and like this.” The third time, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) folded one finger out of the ten fingers of his hands (meaning a month of twenty-nine (29) days).
