(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ . قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ : وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ ، قَالَ : شَهِدَ عِنْدِي نَفَرٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَصْرَةِ مِنْهُمْ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ ، عَلَى مَعْقِلِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ يَحْتَجِمُ لِثَمَانِ عَشْرَةَ ، فَقَالَ : " أَفْطَرَ الْحَاجِمُ وَالْمَحْجُومُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ma'qil bin Sinan that once, on the eighteenth night of Ramadan, he was having cupping done when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by him. Seeing him in this state, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one who does cupping and the one who gets it done, both their fasts are broken.
