(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَضْرِبُ بِإِحْدَى يَدَيْهِ عَلَى الْأُخْرَى ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ : " الشَّهْرُ هَكَذَا وَهَكَذَا " ، ثُمَّ نَقَصَ أُصْبُعَهُ فِي الثَّالِثَةِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came to us, and at that time he was striking one hand on the other and kept saying, "Sometimes the month is like this and like this." The third time, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) folded one finger out of the ten fingers of his hands.
