(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ ، عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ بِهِ وَهُوَ كَاشِفٌ عَنْ فَخِذِهِ ، فَقَالَ : " أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jarid that once he was sitting with his thigh uncovered. The Prophet (ﷺ) passed by and the Prophet (ﷺ) said: Do you not know that the thigh is 'awrah (part of the body that must be covered)?
