(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدَةُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التَّيْمِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزَّعْرَاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ مَالِكِ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْأَيْدِي ثَلَاثَةٌ : فَيَدُ اللَّهِ الْعُلْيَا ، وَيَدُ الْمُعْطِي الَّتِي تَلِيهَا ، وَيَدُ السَّائِلِ السُّفْلَى ، فَأَعْطِ الْفَضْلَ وَلَا تَعْجَزْ عَنْ نَفْسِكَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Malik bin Nadlah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are three levels of hands. The hand of Allah is the highest, and below it is the hand of the giver, and the hand of the beggar is the lowest. Therefore, give away surplus things and do not become helpless regarding yourself.
