Abu Malik says that I asked my father, Sayyiduna Tariq, "Father, you have prayed behind the Prophet (ﷺ), behind Sayyiduna Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, and here in Kufa for about five years you have also prayed behind Sayyiduna Ali. Did these gentlemen recite Qunoot?" He replied, "Son, this is a newly invented thing."
