(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عَبَايَةَ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ ، قَالَ : إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ أَوْ مَلَكًا جَاءَ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : مَا تَعُدُّونَ مَنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا فِيكُمْ ؟ فقال : " خِيَارُنَا " , قَالَ : كَذَلِكَ هُمْ عِنْدَنَا خِيَارُنَا مِنَ الْمَلَائِكَةِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) that once Sayyiduna Jibreel or another angel came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "How do you regard the participants of Badr among yourselves?" He replied: "They are considered the best among us." Upon this, he said: "Among us too, those angels who participated in that battle are considered the best."
