Hadith 15816

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنْ أُسَيْدِ بْنِ ظُهَيْرٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ أَحَدُنَا إِذَا اسْتَغْنَى عَنْ أَرْضِهِ ، فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ ، وَقَالَ : يَشْتَرِطُ ثَلَاثَ جَدَاوِلَ وَالْقُصَارَةُ ، وَالْقُصَارَةُ مَا سَقَطَ مِنَ السُّنْبُلِ .
The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar that we used to give land on sharecropping and did not consider there to be any harm in it. Later, Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) informed us that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade this, so we abandoned it.
