(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّمَا نَسَمَةُ الْمُسْلِمِ طَيْرٌ يَعْلُقُ بِشَجَرِ الْجَنَّةِ حَتَّى يُرْجِعَهُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى إِلَى جَسَدِهِ يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: The soul of a Muslim remains in the form of birds on the trees of Paradise until the Day of Resurrection when Allah will return it to its body.
