(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، أَنَّ جَارِيَةً لِكَعْبٍ كَانَتْ تَرْعَى غَنَمًا لَهُ بِسَلْعٍ ، فَعَدَا الذِّئْبُ عَلَى شَاةٍ مِنْ شَائِهَا ، فَأَدْرَكَتْهَا الرَّاعِيَةُ ، فَذَكَّتْهَا بِمَرْوَةٍ ، فَسَأَلَ كَعْبُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " فَأَمَرَهُ بِأَكْلِهَا " .
There was a slave girl of Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) who used to graze his goats at the place of Sala'. Once, a wolf took away one of the goats. The slave girl chased after it, caught it, and slaughtered it with a sharp-edged stone. Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) about the ruling concerning that goat. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) permitted them to eat it.
