Hadith 15709

It is narrated about an Aslami companion that he was bitten by an animal. This was mentioned to the Prophet (peace be upon him), so he said: If you had recited these words in the evening — "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created" — then nothing would have harmed you. The narrator of the hadith, Suhail, says that if any of us was bitten by an animal, my father would ask whether he had recited these words. If he replied in the affirmative, then his opinion was that now nothing would harm him.
