Hadith 1570

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ ، قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ سَعْدٍ ، فَقُلْتُ بِيَدَيَّ هَكَذَا ، وَوَصَفَ يَحْيَى التَّطْبِيقَ ، فَضَرَبَ بِيَدَيَّ ، وَقَالَ : " كُنَّا نَفْعَلُ هَذَا ، فَأُمِرْنَا أَنْ نَرْفَعَ إِلَى الرُّكَبِ " .
Mus'ab bin Sa'd says that once I prayed with my father, and in bowing (ruku'), I joined my hands and placed them between my knees. He struck my hands and said that in the beginning we used to do like this, but later we were commanded to place our hands on our knees.
