(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ وَحَجَّاجٌ , قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ , يُحَدِّثُ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ يَقُولُ : " مَنْ صَلَّى عَلَيَّ صَلَاةً ، لَمْ تَزَلْ الْمَلَائِكَةُ تُصَلِّي عَلَيْهِ مَا صَلَّى عَلَيَّ ، فَلْيُقِلَّ عَبْدٌ مِنْ ذَلِكَ أَوْ لِيُكْثِرْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna 'Amr bin Rabi'ah that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying during a sermon: Whoever sends blessings upon me, as long as he continues to send blessings upon me, the angels will continue to send blessings upon him. Now it is up to a person whether he sends few or many blessings.
