(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، عَنْ أَسِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْخَثْعَمِيِّ ، عَنْ فَرْوَةَ بْنِ مُجَاهِدٍ اللَّخْمِيِّ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : نَزَلْنَا عَلَى حِصْنِ سِنَانٍ بِأَرْضِ الرُّومِ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ فَضَيَّقَ النَّاسُ الْمَنَازِلَ ، وَقَطَعُوا الطَّرِيقَ ، فَقَالَ مُعَاذٌ : أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، إِنَّا غَزَوْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزْوَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا ، فَضَيَّقَ النَّاسُ الطَّرِيقَ ، فَبَعَثَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مُنَادِيًا فَنَادَى : " مَنْ ضَيَّقَ مَنْزِلًا ، أَوْ قَطَعَ طَرِيقًا ، فَلَا جِهَادَ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh that once we were with Abdullah bin Abdulmalik at the fortress of Sinan in the land of Rome. The people made the resting places narrow and blocked the paths. Seeing this, Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah said, "People, we participated in such-and-such expedition with the Prophet (ﷺ). During that time, people blocked the paths, so the Prophet (ﷺ) sent a caller to announce: Whoever narrows a resting place or blocks a path, his jihad is of no value."
