(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو مَرْحُومٍ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَنْ أَكَلَ طَعَامًا ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا ، وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ ، غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever eats food and then says, "All praise is due to Allah who fed me this food and provided me with sustenance for which I had no power," his past sins will be forgiven.
