(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَبَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلٌ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " الْجَفَاءُ كُلُّ الْجَفَاءِ ، وَالْكُفْرُ وَالنِّفَاقُ مَنْ سَمِعَ مُنَادِيَ اللَّهِ يُنَادِي بِالصَّلَاةِ يَدْعُو إِلَى الْفَلَاحِ , وَلَا يُجِيبُهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is extreme harshness, disbelief, and hypocrisy that a person hears Allah's caller calling to prayer and success, and then does not respond to it.
