(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا زَبَّانُ ، عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ كَظَمَ غَيْظَهُ وَهُوَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَى أَنْ يَنْتَصِرَ ، دَعَاهُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ , حَتَّى يُخَيِّرَهُ فِي حُورِ الْعِينِ أَيَّتَهُنَّ شَاءَ ، وَمَنْ تَرَكَ أَنْ يَلْبَسَ صَالِحَ الثِّيَابِ ، وَهُوَ يَقْدِرُ عَلَيْهِ تَوَاضُعًا لِلَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى ، دَعَاهُ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى عَلَى رُءُوسِ الْخَلَائِقِ , حَتَّى يُخَيِّرَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِي حُلَلِ الْإِيمَانِ أَيَّتَهُنَّ شَاءَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever controls his anger while having the power to act upon it, Allah Almighty will call him before all creation on the Day of Resurrection and give him the choice to select whichever Hoor al-'Ayn he wishes. And whoever, out of humility, wears simple clothes despite having the ability to wear good clothes, Allah will call him before all creation on the Day of Resurrection and give him the choice to select whichever garment of faith he wishes.
