It is narrated from Sayyiduna Umar bin Yathrabi Zumri that I was present in that sermon of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) which he delivered in the plain of Mina. Among other things, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said in this sermon: "It is not lawful for any person to take his brother's wealth except with his heart's content and permission." Upon hearing this, I submitted in the presence of the Messenger: "O Messenger of Allah! Tell me, if I find a flock of my cousin's goats and take one goat from it and go away, will I be sinful in this?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you find such a sheep that can bear the knife and the flint, then do not even touch it."
