(حديث مقطوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي زِيَادٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الدَّارِيُّ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ , قَال : حَدَّثَنَا شَيْخٌ أَدْرَكَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةَ ، وَنَحْنُ فِي غَزْوَةِ رُودِسَ ، يُقَالُ لَهُ : ابْنُ عَبْسٍ , قَالَ : كُنْتُ أَسُوقُ لِآلٍ لَنَا بَقَرَةً , قَالَ : فَسَمِعْتُ مِنْ جَوْفِهَا ، يَا آلَ ذَرِيحْ قَوْلٌ فَصِيحْ ، رَجُلٌ يَصِيحْ ، أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ ، قَالَ : فَقَدِمْنَا مَكَّةَ فَوَجَدْنَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ خَرَجَ .
Sayyiduna Ibn Abas narrates that I used to graze a cow belonging to my family. One day, by His command, I heard this voice: "O family of Zareeh, a clear statement!" A person was announcing and saying, "There is no deity except Allah." After that, when we reached Makkah Mukarramah, we found out that the Prophet (ﷺ) had proclaimed prophethood.
