(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ ْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ يَعْنِي شَيْبَانَ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عَابِسٍ الْجُهَنِيَّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " يَا ابْنَ عَابِسٍ ، أَلَا أُخْبِرُكَ بِأَفْضَلِ مَا تَعَوَّذَ بِهِ الْمُتَعَوِّذُونَ ؟ قُلْتُ : بَلَى , يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ وَ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abis that once the Prophet (peace be upon him) said to me: O Ibn Abis, shall I not tell you about the best words of seeking refuge with which those who seek refuge do so? I said: O Messenger of Allah! Certainly. He said: They are two surahs—Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Naas.
