(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ يَعْنِي ابْنَ خَالِدٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَوْ عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ : " إِذَا كان الطَّاعُونُ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا ، فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا ، وَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ وَلَسْتُمْ بِهَا ، فَلَا تَقْرَبُوهَا " .
It is narrated from the grandfather of ‘Ikrimah bin Khalid that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said on the occasion of the Battle of Tabuk: When a plague spreads in any area and you are already present there, then do not leave that place, and if the epidemic spreads in your absence, then do not enter that area.
