(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , كَانَ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ , وَإِذَا أَمْسَى : " أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ ، وَعَلَى كَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ ، وَعَلَى دِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَعَلَى مِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا مسلمًا ، وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Abza that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: We were upon the natural disposition of Islam, the word of sincerity, and the religion of Muhammad, upon the faith of our forefather Sayyiduna Ibrahim, who turned away from all else and was a Muslim, and was not among the polytheists.
