It is narrated from Sayyiduna Safwan bin Umayyah that on the day of the Battle of Hunayn, the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked him for some armors as a loan. At that time, Safwan had not yet become a Muslim. He asked, "O Muhammad, are you taking them with the intention of seizing them?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "No, with the intention of borrowing, for which I am responsible." By chance, some of those armors were lost. The Prophet (peace be upon him) offered him compensation for the loss, but he said, "O Messenger of Allah! Today I feel a greater inclination towards Islam."
