Hadith 15265

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابٌ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ , حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ , عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا أَطَالَ أَحَدُكُمِ الْغَيْبَةَ , فَلَا يَطْرُقَنَّ أَهْلَهُ لَيْلًا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: When you enter the city at night after a long absence, do not go to your house without informing them.
