(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ ، وَعَتَّابٌ , أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ , أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ الْمَدِينِيُّ , حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، يَقُولُ : اسْتُشْهِدَ أَبِي بِأُحُدٍ , فَأَرْسَلْنَنِي أَخَوَاتِي إِلَيْهِ بِنَاضِحٍ لَهُنَّ , فَقُلْنَ : اذْهَبْ فَاحْتَمِلْ أَبَاكَ عَلَى هَذَا الْجَمَلِ , فَادْفِنْهُ فِي مَقْبَرَةِ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ , قَالَ : فَجِئْتُهُ وَأَعْوَانٌ لِي , فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ بِأُحُدٍ , فَدَعَانِي , وَقَالَ : " وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ , لَا يُدْفَنُ إِلَّا مَعَ إِخْوَتِهِ " ، فَدُفِنَ مَعَ أَصْحَابِهِ بِأُحُدٍ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that my father was martyred in the Battle of Uhud. My sisters sent me with our water-drawing camel and said, "Go and bring our father on the camel and bury him in the graveyard of Banu Salamah." So I went there with some of my friends. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was informed, and at that time he was sitting on Mount Uhud. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called me and said, "By the One in Whose hand is my soul, he will be buried with his brothers." Thus, he was buried with his companions at the foot of Uhud.
