It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ramal (brisk walking) in three circuits up to the Black Stone, then he prayed two rak'ahs, then he came again to the Black Stone, then he went to the well of Zamzam, drank its water and poured it over his blessed head, then returned and touched the Black Stone again, then proceeded towards Safa and Marwah and said: "Begin from here, from where Allah has begun."
