Hadith 15242

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ دَاوُدَ , حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلَالٍ , عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ , عَنِ ابْنَيْ جَابِرٍ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا رَأَى الْمُحَدَّثُ الْمُحَدِّثَ يَتَلَفَّتُ , فَهِيَ أَمَانَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If a person says something in a gathering and, while speaking, looks to his right and left, then that statement is a trust."
