Hadith 15241

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى , حَدَّثَنَا شَرِيكٌ , عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَقِيلٍ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا : لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ , فَإِذَا قَالُوهَا , عَصَمُوا مِنِّي دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا , وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللَّهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I have been commanded to fight the people until they say La ilaha illallah. When they do this, they have protected their lives and wealth from me, except for the right of Islam, and their reckoning is with Allah.
