It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "None of you will enter Paradise or be saved from Hell because of his deeds." The companions asked: "O Messenger of Allah! Not even you?" He replied: "Not even me, unless Allah covers me with His mercy."
