مُسْنَدُ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُMusnad of Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Hadith 15233
(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ , أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَنِي جَابِرٌ , أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " مَثَلُ الْمَدِينَةِ كَالْكِيرِ , وَحَرَّمَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ مَكَّةَ , وَأَنَا أُحَرِّمُ الْمَدِينَةَ , وَهِيَ كَمَكَّةَ حَرَامٌ مَا بَيْنَ حَرَّتَيْهَا وَحِمَاهَا كُلُّهَا , لَا يُقْطَعُ مِنْهَا شَجَرَةٌ , إِلَّا أَنْ يَعْلِفَ رَجُلٌ مِنْهَا , وَلَا يَقْرَبُهَا إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ الطَّاعُونُ , وَلَا الدَّجَّالُ , وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ يَحْرُسُونَهَا عَلَى أَنْقَابِهَا وَأَبْوَابِهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Madinah is like a furnace. Sayyiduna Ibrahim declared Makkah sacred, and I declare Madinah sacred. Therefore, the area between its two boundaries and its pastures are completely sacred; no tree may be cut down there except if a person feeds it to his camel. And, by the will of Allah, plague and the Dajjal will not come near it. Angels will be guarding all its entrances and exits."

قَالَ : وَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " وَلَا يَحِلُّ لِأَحَدٍ أَنْ يَحْمِلُ فِيهَا سِلَاحًا لِقِتَالٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "It is neither permissible nor lawful for anyone to raise weapons in Madinah Munawwarah with the intention of fighting."
