Hadith 15215

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعْدٍ الصَّغَانِيُّ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُيَسَّرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاء ، وأَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ , قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْمُحَاقَلَةِ , وَالْمُزَابَنَةِ ، وَالْمُخَابَرَةِ , وَأَنْ يُبَاعَ الثَّمَرُ حَتَّى يُطْعَمَ إِلَّا بِدَنَانِيرَ أَوْ دَرَاهِمَ , إِلَّا الْعَرَايَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of Muhaqalah, Muzabanah, sharecropping, and selling fruits before they ripen, unless it is in exchange for dinars or dirhams. However, he permitted that a person may give his garden as a loan to a poor person.
