Hadith 15211

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ , حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ , عَنْ عَطَاءٍ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ كَانَتْ لَهُ أَرْضٌ فَلْيَزْرَعْهَا , فَإِنْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ يَزْرَعَهَا وَعَجَزَ عَنْهَا , فَلْيَمْنَحْهَا أَخَاهُ الْمُسْلِمَ وَلَا يُؤَاجِرْهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever has a piece of land, he should cultivate it himself; if he cannot do so or is unable, then he should give it to his brother as a gift, but not on rent.
