Hadith 15210

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ , حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى , عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ , قَالَ : أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ , فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَيُّ الصَّلَاةِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " طُولُ الْقُنُوتِ " ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , وَأَيُّ الْجِهَادِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ عُقِرَ جَوَادُهُ , وَأُرِيقَ دَمُهُ " ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , أَيُّ الْهِجْرَةِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ هَجَرَ مَا كَرِهَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , فَأَيُّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَفْضَلُ ؟ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ سَلِمَ الْمُسْلِمُونَ مِنْ لِسَانِهِ وَيَدِهِ " ، قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ , فَمَا الْمُوجِبَتَانِ ؟ ، قَالَ " مَنْ مَاتَ لَا يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا , دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ , وَمَنْ مَاتَ يُشْرِكُ بِاللَّهِ شَيْئًا , دَخَلَ النَّارَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that someone asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! Which prayer is the most virtuous? He replied: The long prayer. He asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): O Messenger of Allah! Which jihad is the most virtuous? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That of the person whose horse’s legs are cut and his own blood is shed. He asked: Which migration is the most virtuous? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: To abandon what Allah dislikes. He submitted: O Messenger of Allah! Which Islam is the best? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: That other Muslims are safe from his tongue and hand. He asked: O Messenger of Allah! What are the two things that make something obligatory? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever meets Allah in such a state that he does not associate anyone with Him will enter Paradise, and whoever dies associating anyone with Allah will enter Hell.
