Hadith 15209

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ أَجْلَحَ , عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِعَائِشَةَ : " أَهَدَيْتُمِ الْجَارِيَةَ إِلَى بَيْتِهَا ؟ " ، قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ ، قَالَ : " فَهَلَّا بَعَثْتُمْ مَعَهُمْ مَنْ يُغَنِّيهِمْ ، يَقُولُ : أَتَيْنَاكُمْ أَتَيْنَاكُمْ فَحَيُّونَا نُحَيَّاكُمْ فَإِنَّ الْأَنْصَارَ قَوْمٌ فِيهِمْ غَزَلٌ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her): "Did you hand over the slave-girl to her family?" She replied: "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you not send someone who sings along with her, singing: 'We have come to you, we have come to you, so welcome us and we will welcome you,' for this is the custom among the Ansar."
