Hadith 15194

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمٌ , حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ , عَنِ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ جَابِرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , أَرَدْنَا أَنْ نَبِيعَ دُورَنَا , وَنَتَحَوَّلَ قَرِيبًا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَجْلِ الصَّلَاةِ , قَالَ : فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , فَقَالَ : يَا فُلَانُ , لِرَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ , " دِيَارَكُمْ فَإِنَّهَا تُكْتَبُ آثَارُكُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once the people of Banu Salamah intended to sell their houses and move closer to the mosque. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to know of this, he said to them: Remain in your houses, the reward for your footsteps will also be written for you.
