(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ , حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ , عَنْ مُحَارِبِ بْنِ دِثَارٍ , قَال : َ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ , قَالَ : تَزَوَّجْتُ , فَقَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا تَزَوَّجْتَ ؟ " ، قَالَ : قُلْتُ : تَزَوَّجْتُ ثَيِّبًا , فَقَالَ : " مَا لَكَ وَلِلْعَذَارَى وَلِعَابِهَا ! " ، قَالَ شُعْبَةُ فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِعَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ , فَقَالَ : سَمِعْتُ جَابِرًا ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَفَهَلَّا جَارِيَةً تُلَاعِبُهَا وَتُلَاعِبُكَ ؟ ! " حَدَّثَنَاهُمَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ يَعْنِي شَاذَانَ , الْمَعْنَى .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I got married. Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked me, "Whom did you marry?" I replied, "A previously married woman." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Why did you not marry a virgin so that you could play with each other?" It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Why did you not marry a virgin so that you could play with her and she could play with you?" The previous hadith is also narrated through this second chain.
