Hadith 15188

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ , حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ رَاشِدٍ , عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ مُوسَى , عَنْ عَطَاءٍ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : " كُنَّا نُصِيبُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي مَغَانِمِنَا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ , الْأَسْقِيَةَ وَالْأَوْعِيَةَ , فَيَقْسِمُهَا , وَكُلُّهَا مَيْتَةٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), we used to receive water skins and vessels from the spoils of war, and we would distribute them, and all of these were from dead animals.
