Hadith 15185

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجٌ , حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ , عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو , أَخْبَرَنِي رَجُلٌ ثِقَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي سَلِمَةَ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَحْمُ الصَّيْدِ حَلَالٌ لِلْمُحْرِمِ , مَا لَمْ يَصِدْهُ أَوْ يُصَدْ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Hunting on land is lawful for a Muhrim, provided that he does not hunt himself, nor is it hunted for his sake.
