(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ , أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِ مَثَلُ السُّنْبُلَةِ , تَسْتَقِيمُ مَرَّةً وَتَخِرُّ مَرَّةً , وَمَثَلُ الْكَافِرِ مَثَلُ الْأَرْزَةِ , لَا تَزَالُ مُسْتَقِيمَةً حَتَّى تَخِرَّ وَلَا تَشْعُرُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The example of a Muslim is like that of an ear of wheat, which sometimes bends and sometimes stands upright, and the example of a disbeliever is like that of a stalk of rice, which always remains standing until it falls, and no hair grows on it (or it does not realize it).
