(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ نُمَيْرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ , عَنْ أَبِي عَيَّاشٍ , عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ , قَالَ : سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الرُّطَبِ بِالتَّمْرِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " أَلَيْسَ يَنْقُصُ الرُّطَبُ إِذَا يَبِسَ ؟ " , قَالُوا : بَلَى , فَكَرِهَهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that once someone asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Is it permissible to sell fresh dates in exchange for dry dates?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Is it not the case that fresh dates become less after they dry?" The people replied: "Yes, it is so." Upon this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) regarded it as undesirable.
