It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you go to sleep at night, close the doors, cover the vessels, extinguish the lamps, and tie the mouths of the water skins, for Satan cannot open a closed door, cannot remove a cover, and cannot untie a knot. And sometimes a mouse becomes the cause of burning down the whole house.
