Hadith 15136

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ , حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَمْسِكُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ , وَلَا تَقْسِمُوهَا , فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لِلَّذِي أَعْمَرَهَا حَيًّا وَمَيِّتًا , وَلِعَقِبِهِ تَقْسِمُوهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Keep your wealth with yourself, do not give it to anyone, and whoever gives something to someone for a lifetime, then it becomes his, whether he is alive or dead, or he dies or it reaches his children.
