Hadith 15128

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ , قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ : أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ بِشَهْرٍ : " تَسْأَلُونِي عَنِ السَّاعَةِ , وَإِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللَّهِ , وَأُقْسِمُ بِاللَّهِ , مَا عَلَى ظَهْرِ الْأَرْضِ مِنْ نَفْسٍ مَنْفُوسَةٍ الْيَوْمَ يَأْتِي عَلَيْهَا مِائَةُ سَنَةٍ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say, one month before his passing, that people ask me about the Hour (Day of Judgment), although its true knowledge is only with Allah. However, I swear by Allah that none of those alive today will remain alive after one hundred years.
