Hadith 15114

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ , حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ , أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْر ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " أَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ مَنْ يَتَّبِعُنِي مِنْ أُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ رُبْعَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " ، قَالَ : فَكَبَّرْنَا , قَالَ : " أَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونُوا ثُلُثَ أَهْلِ الْجَنَّةِ " ، قَالَ : فَكَبَّرْنَا ، قَالَ : " أَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونُوا الشَّطْرَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: I hope that on the Day of Resurrection, my followers, my Ummah, will constitute one fourth of all the people of Paradise. At this, we raised the slogan of Takbeer. Then he said: I hope that they will be one third of all the people. At this, we again raised the slogan of Takbeer. Then he said: I hope that they will be one half of all the people.
