Hadith 15105

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ , حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنٌ الْمُعَلِّمُ , عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ , عَنْ رَجُلٍ , عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ , أَنَّ رَجُلًا شَابًّا أَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَسْتَأْذِنُهُ فِي الْخِصَاءِ , فَقَالَ : " صُمْ , وَسَلْ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once a young man came to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, "Will you permit me to be castrated?" The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Observe fasting and ask Allah for His bounty."
