It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that once we were sitting with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man was stung by a scorpion. Another man said, "O Messenger of Allah! Should I recite (a ruqyah) over him?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever can benefit his brother should do so."
