Hadith 1505

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنَ سَعْدٍ يُحَدِّثُ , عن سعد , عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِعَلِيٍّ : " أَمَا تَرْضَى أَنْ تَكُونَ مِنِّي بِمَنْزِلَةِ هَارُونَ مِنْ مُوسَى ؟ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him): "Are you not pleased that your relation to me is like that of Harun (peace be upon him) to Musa (peace be upon him)?"
