It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) that my ears have heard this from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and my heart has preserved it: "Whoever, in the state of Islam, attributes himself to anyone other than his father, knowing that he is not his father, Paradise is forbidden for him." Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said that my ears have also heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying this, and my heart has preserved it.
