Hadith 15025

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : إِذَا ذُكِرَ أَصْحَابُ أُحُدٍ : " أَمَا وَاللَّهِ لَوَدِدْتُ أَنِّي غُودِرْتُ مَعَ أَصْحَابِ نُحْصِ الْجَبَلِ " ، يَعْنِي سَفْحَ الْجَبَلِ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned the companions of Uhud, I would hear him say, "I wish I had also been among those martyred in the surprise attack along with those on the top of the mountain."
